Modal mineralogy QXRD-3
Results provided: Quantitative mineral composition of major, minor and accessory minerals with concentrations from 0.1% down to 0.001%. Accessory and ore mineral content is determined with higher precision and depends on proportion of heavy minerals. Quality control is done by XRF/ICP analysis. Includes water soluble minerals. Bulk liberation data on poor bynaries with light gangue avalable.
Objectives:
  • Ore processing selection
  • Reliable data for base metal and deleterious elements deportment in ores, flotation, leach tailings
  • Geometallurgical domain classification
  • Liberation data for ore minerals from binaries
  • Acid drainage/neutralization calculation for tailings and waste rock.
  • Theoretical grade-recovery curves for Au, Ag, base metals based on liberation characteristics.
Advantages: Quick and Reliable quantitative information on sample mineralogical composition and liberation information

Disclaimer: some minerals can be analysed inaccurately because of their lower concentrations and overlapping signals.
